Solinfo is a non-governmental organization for international solidarity, based in Paris and driven by volunteers and experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We operate in countries facing emergency or post-emergency situations, supporting distressed youth to help them rebuild themselves and contribute to the future of their region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solinfo, a humanitarian organization active for nearly 25 years\u2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Solinfo, a non-profit organization under French law (association loi 1901), was founded in 2002 by a travel enthusiast in Bangladesh, where he created the first computer training center. Today, 300 young people graduate each year from our ten centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active since its creation in more than ten crisis-affected countries, Solinfo\u2014born from a moment of inspiration and a humanist commitment\u2014has become an NGO specializing in training and supporting local initiatives aimed at strengthening the resilience of young people facing crises and poverty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The torch has been passed on since 2002, carried by dedicated members and volunteer experts who commit their skills for time-limited missions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Present today in five countries with seven programs\u2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Solinfo currently operates mainly in Bangladesh, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Iraq, Mozambique, and Syria, running seven programs that benefit nearly 3,000 young people threatened by poverty, war, and natural disasters. These beneficiaries come from vulnerable groups, often living in camps for displaced people or refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our work aims to strengthen the resilience of these young people living in vulnerable conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our action relies primarily on cooperation with local NGOs, true project partners. We support them through technical, financial, and human assistance, mobilizing the expertise and commitment of our volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A steadfast vocation that remains human-sized\u2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Solinfo is currently chaired by Edouard Lagourgue, a humanitarian actor since the 1980s and a board member of several humanitarian organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solinfo strives to remain at the heart of humanitarian response by deliberately focusing its work on a limited number of countries, consistent with its financial capacity and its ability to deploy volunteers and experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its deep vocation remains to address the future needs of young people \u2014 a commitment we wholeheartedly share with our partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an independent NGO, Solinfo is funded by patrons, private donors, foundations, and companies. Some projects have also received support from institutional donors.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Values and Ethical Principles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Solinfo, a non-profit association under French law, provides assistance on a voluntary basis and in full respect of international humanitarian law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solinfo is non-political and non-religious, acting with strict neutrality and working solely for the benefit of the victims it serves, in line with international law and children\u2019s rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an independent NGO, Solinfo is primarily funded by patrons, private donors, foundations, and companies. In the last fiscal year, 95% of the resources received were allocated directly to humanitarian programs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A Transparent Relationship with Our Donors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Solinfo receives support from patrons to cover its headquarters\u2019 costs, and from private donors\u2014mostly from the corporate sector\u2014to finance its programs. Eighty-two percent of its resources come from private donations and foundations, and eighteen percent from institutional donors. Our annual field budget ranges between \u20ac70,000 and \u20ac100,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We regularly report on the progress and challenges of our projects. Our commitment is to keep you informed without constantly soliciting you, respecting your freedom while hoping for the continued loyalty of your support. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Simple Principles of Action<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Strengthen local humanitarian response capacities by working with in-country NGOs. Together, we design projects tailored to their needs and to those of the communities they serve. Solinfo signs implementation agreements with each partner, ensuring financial and quality monitoring carried out by our volunteer experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because they know their communities better than anyone, our partners are responsible for implementing the projects on the ground. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When necessary, we also create local structures led by national teams\u2014as we have done in Bangladesh and Iraq\u2014to build lasting solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we bear witness whenever the situation of affected populations requires it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Convinced that children and youth must be a universal priority, Solinfo has set itself the goal of improving the living and educational conditions of vulnerable young people facing crisis situations.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today, Solinfo operates in five main countries through vocational training, psychosocial support programs, art-therapy workshops, hygiene and nutrition training, and medical consultations, benefiting nearly 3,000 children and youth each year, up to the age of 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within its means, Solinfo provides financial, administrative, and technical support depending on the project\u2014whether in education, psychosocial assistance, vocational training, or health and medical interventions. In areas where state action is weak or absent, and where some populations flee humanitarian crises in hard-to-reach zones, we work to meet the future needs of this vulnerable youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Often a promoter of pilot projects\u2014such as in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire for the financial empowerment of young girls\u2014Solinfo strives to design tailored, context-specific initiatives that strengthen the resilience of the communities it serves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bangladesh<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n


Present in Bangladesh since 2002, Solinfo provides free training in office software and digital tools to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, in order to improve their employability.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Syria<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n


Since 2012, Solinfo has been running psychosocial workshops directly inside displacement camps to support young victims of the Syrian conflict, while also providing medical consultations and distributing hygiene kits.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Irak<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n


Solinfo supports vulnerable, displaced, and refugee groups in northern Iraq through a medical center dedicated to widows and orphans. Solinfo also conducts art-mediation workshops for young girls in prison. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ivory Coast<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n


Solinfo promotes the empowerment of young girls through vocational training and strengthens access to healthcare in northern C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire through a mobile health program and by building the medical capacities of a local NGO.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mozambique<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n


In Cabo Delgado, in the Mueda displacement camp, Solinfo has been developing since 2021\u2014together with the local NGO Kulima\u2014an initiative combining educational support and psychosocial assistance for children aged 6 to 12.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Burundi<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n


Our AgriSchool program in Burundi enabled young people aged 12 to 18 to develop autonomy by learning the basics of sustainable agriculture through tailored training.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
